Light therapy with retimer involves exposure to blue-green light for a prescribed amount of time at a specific time of day.
Wavelength of the blue-green light used in retimer has been found to be most effective in changing our ‘body clock’, or circadian rhythm.
Studies have found exposure to light at different times of the day can change the timing of the body clock and sleep/wake pattern. Bright light in the morning can re-time your body clock, making it easier to fall asleep at night and wake up earlier in the morning. On the other hand, exposure at night can delay the time you fall asleep and prolong your wake-up time the next day.
